On April 2, 2025, Pacita Complex Senior High School held the culminating activity for the Adopt a Ship International (AASI) program in partnership with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM). The event marked the successful collaboration that introduced students to the maritime world. Mrs. Berlyn S. Daguro, OIC School Head, welcomed the guests and reaffirmed the school’s strong support for the program. Representing BSM, General Manager Capt. Armando Santosidad was honored by C/E Edmundo Cadacio, who stressed the value of maritime education and expressed gratitude to all contributors. D/C Anthony Sevilla shared his inspiring journey from scarcity to success through seafaring, motivating students to consider a maritime career. IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador Mr. George Hoyt led the students in singing 'The Greatest Love of All,' linking its message of hope and potential to AASI’s mission. Mrs. Louella Areglo, representing BSM Seamen’s Wives NCR, highlighted the opportunities that seafaring provides while acknowledging the sacrifices that come with it. The program featured lively student performances of 'Journey,' engaging games, and a maritime-themed Q&A activity. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to AP teachers and special guests for their invaluable support. Closing the program, Ms. Mary Ann M. Espectacion, Master Teacher II, delivered heartfelt thanks and underscored the spirit of unity with the message, 'The beauty of people helping people.'
