The Closing Ceremony of the Adopt-a-Ship Program in partnership with SENATOR Crewing Manila and Adelina 1 Complex Elementary School was a meaningful and uplifting celebration of learning, collaboration, and maritime appreciation.
The program opened with warm Opening Remarks from the school head, Mr. Edgardo Mujeco. He expressed his gratitude to Senator Crewing Manila for their dedication to educational partnerships and encouraged the students to continue embracing programs that widen their knowledge and strengthen their dreams.
An uplifting song number followed as an intermission, showcasing the talents of the learners and adding a joyful spirit to the event.
Ms. Anna Ureta, SCM Quality Assurance Officer, delivered an inspiring Special Message, highlighting the importance of cultivating curiosity, discipline, and confidence among the students. She emphasized how the Adopt-a-Ship Program equips young learners with valuable insights into the maritime industry and fosters connections that may open future opportunities.
Mr. George Hoyt, IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador, also shared meaningful words that encouraged the students to dream bigger and work together as part of a global community. His message reminded them that their efforts today can shape their success in the future.
This was followed by the Thank You Message of C/OFF Jeffrey Aldas, who acknowledged the active participation of the students, teachers, and the school community. He emphasized that the success of the program would not be possible without everyone’s cooperation, enthusiasm, and commitment.
To conclude, Ms. Joan Osicos delivered the Closing Remarks, expressing gratitude to Senator Crewing Manila, the Adopt-a-Ship team, and A1CES for their shared commitment to empowering learners. She encouraged the students to carry the lessons and inspirations from the program as they pursue their dreams.
