ANGLO EASTERN Young Mariners Quiz Bee With LRCS

Theme: “Discovering the World, One Question at a Time”

Anglo Eastern, together with LRCS and the Adopt-a-Ship Program, successfully held the Young Mariners Quiz Bee—a fun-filled and intellectually stimulating event that celebrated learning, curiosity, and maritime awareness. With the theme “Discovering the World, One Question at a Time,” the activity gathered enthusiastic young learners eager to showcase their knowledge and skills.

A total of 10 students per grade level represented Grades 4, 5, and 6, with the AASI team, Mr. George Hoyt- IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador,  Mrs. Nenet Cuaño-School head, Ms. Shirley Britos- PSDS teachers, and 30 excited participants in attendance.

For Grade 4, Contestant #5 claimed first place with 78 points, followed by Contestant #8 in second place with 70 points, and Contestant #10 in third place with 69 points.

In Grade 5, the competition ended in an exciting tie between Contestants #3 and #5 at 56 points. After two clincher questions, Contestant #3 emerged as the first-place winner, Contestant #5 took second place, and Contestant #1 secured third place with 53 points.

For Grade 6, Contestant #1 secured first place with 60 points, Contestant #2 earned second place with 55 points, and Contestant #8 finished in third place with 54 points.

To honor their dedication and outstanding performance, certificates, medals, and tokens were awarded to all participants. The event highlighted not only the students’ knowledge but also their confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The Young Mariners Quiz Bee further strengthened the partnership between Anglo Eastern, LRCS, and the Adopt-a-Ship Program, continuing the mission of inspiring young learners to explore the world, embrace challenges, and dream big.
