AAS at Fairmont Magsaysay Closing Ceremony With RCES

FAIRMONT MAGSAYSAY,  in partnership with Rosario Complex Elementary School and Adopt-a-Ship International, held a meaningful Closing Ceremony that marked the culmination of maritime learning, collaboration, and student achievement. The program showcased the collective commitment of the company, school community, and AASI in shaping young learners’ awareness of the maritime world.

The program began with the warm and inspiring opening remarks of Principal I, Mrs. Emlyn D. Gazzingan, who reminded everyone that this event is not an ending, but another beginning of a deeper and more committed partnership.

A lively Dance Sport intermission brought energy to the program, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of the learners.

Mrs. Gloria Garrido, AASI Coordinator, then delivered her Inspirational Message, sharing her heartfelt story as the wife of a seafarer and the strength it takes to support a maritime family. Her message brought encouragement and deeper appreciation for the realities of life at sea.

The program continued with C/OFF Jeffrey Aldas, who delivered an informative discussion and simple demonstration about Fire Fighting and First Aid. His session equipped learners with valuable safety knowledge and promoted awareness of life-saving skills. He also expressed his gratitude to the school community, company partner, and all supporters of the program.

The awarding portion followed—Quiz Bee winners, distribution of certificates and thank-you cards, and recognition of one of the outstanding learners through the Young Mariners Award. These acknowledgments celebrated the hard work, discipline, and commitment shown by the students and teachers throughout the program.

A joyful photo opportunity captured the smiles and milestones of the day, after which Ms. Angelique Hatulan delivered the closing remarks, expressing her appreciation for the continued support and collaboration among all stakeholders.

As the ceremony concluded, a significant milestone was proudly shared with the entire school community and Fairmont Magsaysay: Adopt-a-Ship International was honored as the recipient of the INDUSTRY PARTNER AWARD 2025 during the Seatrade Maritime Crew Connect Global Conference. This prestigious recognition stands as a powerful testament to the program’s impact, the dedication of its partners, and the collective effort to bring maritime education to young learners.

This moment served as an inspiring reminder that the partnership is not only thriving but also gaining global recognition—fueling even greater commitment for the years ahead.
