Crossworld Launching Ceremonies with SNES & SPCES

In its continued support for the Adopt‑a‑Ship Program, Crossworld Marine Services reaffirms its steadfast commitment to maritime education for the younger generation. This school year, the company not only continues its partnership with San Pedro Central Elementary School but proudly expands its reach to include Sto. Niño Elementary School. On July 11, 2025, both schools marked the official relaunch of the program with meaningful ceremonies that reflected deep community engagement and an enduring belief in the power of maritime education. Representing Crossworld were Vice President Ms. Jill Reyes, Mr. Manuel Bocalandro, seasoned seafarers Capt. Lazaro Gonzales and C/E Eduard Lapinid, along with their dedicated team. Also in attendance was the AASI Team, led by IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador Mr. George Hoyt, symbolizing the international heart behind this global initiative.

An inspiring message from a deck cadet brought seafaring to life, providing students with a closer look into the realities of global shipping. Ms. Reyes engaged the students with warm enthusiasm, encouraging them to voice their career dreams and introducing them to the world of maritime professions. Mr. Bocalandro highlighted the vast opportunities waiting at sea. C/E Lapinid and Capt. Gonzales brought the realities of shipboard life to the fore while instilling values of discipline and dedication required for a successful maritime career. Mr. Hoyt delivered a moving tribute to the excellence of Filipino seafarers, reminding young minds to dream boldly but remain anchored in values. C/OFF Jeffrey Aldas introduced the program’s structure and energized the students with an engaging Q&A game, reinforcing learning through fun and curiosity. In her closing message, Ms. Janice Dayapan expressed deep gratitude for the program’s enduring impact on student development. As a tangible educational tool, 2x3-meter world maps were distributed, empowering students to track the journeys of their adopted ships while deepening their grasp of geography, global sea routes, and maritime dynamics.
