Adopt A Ship Culminating Activity Sets Sail At CNHS

On April 4, 2025, Calendola National High School (CNHS), in collaboration with CROSSWORLD, held its culminating activity for the Adopt a Ship program—a successful voyage from start to finish. The event launched with a solemn invocation, anchoring the day on faith and unity. Mr. Makram Daouk, Crossworld’s Business Director, underscored the vital role of the maritime industry in daily life and hailed Filipinos as future leaders of the global fleet. He encouraged young women to chart a course in the maritime profession, promoting inclusivity on deck. Mr. Manuel Bocalandro, Community and Social Impact Consultant, expressed gratitude to the crew behind the program’s success and reaffirmed Crossworld’s full support. IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador Mr. George Hoyt emphasized the value of teamwork in navigating any voyage. C/O Jeffrey Aldas kept spirits buoyant with an engaging Q&A on maritime history and general knowledge, sparking student enthusiasm and active participation. As the program approached its final port, certificates of appreciation were handed out to all participants. Dr. Renante R. Soriano, PSDS/OIC-Principal, delivered his heartfelt thanks and expressed CNHS’s unwavering support for the Adopt a Ship initiative—signaling a continued commitment to grooming future seafarers and maritime leaders.
