Adelina 1 NHS Closing Ceremony with Senator Crewing Manila was held On April 7, 2025

The closing ceremony of Adopt a Ship Program happened in Adelina 1 NHS facilitated by Senator Crewing Manila. The students of were given an opportunity to explore the world of the maritime industry through this special event. The program aimed expanding their knowledge and to have a memorable experience for all involved. The ceremony began with opening remarks from Mr. Jilly F. Forteza, the school Principal who expressed his hope that students would gain insights into the maritime industry. He highlighted how this opportunity could shape their futures. Followed by Mr. Juan Paulo Cunanan, the Talent Acquisition Officer, delivered a special message, emphasizing that the maritime industry not only provides personal growth but also offers opportunities for students to support their families. Additionally, C/O Jerahmeel Soler, the Technical Interviewer, spoke about the exciting possibilities in the maritime world, such as traveling, meeting different cultures and building a strong foundation for their futures. His advice: "Your attitude matters the most—it's not just about the result, but also about building up for your family." Mr. George Hoyt, the IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador, highlighted the importance of teamwork for both in families and environments. He reminded students that the maritime industry offers equal opportunities for all. Followed by Mr. Jeffrey Aldas, the Managing Coordinator of AASI, expressed his excitement for the "Adopt a Ship" learning sessions. He stated how these sessions would provide students with valuable experiences in the maritime industry, marking the beginning of new learning opportunities.
